OUR ANIMALS

Our small animal world is waiting to be marveled by our big and small visitors. We have about 100 animals from over 10 different species. On the adventure tour you will meet our alpacas, woolly pigs, rabbits, geese, llamas and many more. The welfare of our animals is our highest priority. Therefore, we attach great importance to the fact that the enclosures are optimally adapted to the animals and their needs. The zoo has existed since 1978 and its goal is to create encounters between people and animals.

NEWS FROM THE ZOO

our wart ducks

Did you know that mallard ducks don't quack? When they have something to say, they chatter excitedly with each other and move their back feathers. By the way, you can watch this very well in our zoo, it looks so cute.

Our mule is here

The love story of our donkey and our Shetland pony gave birth to a new life. Did you know? When the donkey is the father and the mother is a pony, the little offspring miracle is called a mule, which is rather rare - so it's a real natural attraction.

New home, new happiness

Last year, new enclosures were built, many details were changed vand new beautiful enclosures with lots of space for our zoo inhabitants were created.

CARE OF THE ANIMALS

Our bear family in the Grizzlybär Adventure Land is truly unique. The animal inhabitants in our zoo - over 100 in total - are also part of our special "Bear Family".

Our team is dedicated to the welfare and care of the animals. From cleaning out the stables, to feeding the animals in a manner appropriate to their species, to caring for the pastures and green areas.

DID YOU KNOW THAT...

...there is even a beaver family at home here? You won't meet them in the zoo, but with a bit of luck you will find traces of the beavers on your tour near Lake Dittlig lake. Look out for any pointy tree trunks along the way.
