The spontaneous trip was very worthwhile. Very child-friendly, very good food and with the small lake including a small animal park, it was a very nice family outing. We enjoyed it.
We ended our family day with 13 people with a visit to the Grizzlibär. The food was first class, hot to the last bite, every filled plate a highlight for the eyes, the service extremely friendly. As we are a very sociable and fun family, the staff and the manager were very friendly and witty and charming as we said goodbye. Of course we will always be happy to come back! Thanks to the team

The restaurant offers a lot for children. The animal park and playground are beautifully designed. Only the food on offer for children could be a little bigger.

We only visited the outdoor area. A nice little break for the whole family to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A few animals were on display, but some of the enclosures were completely empty. Idyllically situated on a small lake and with a small playground, people are drawn to the restaurant for a bite to eat. We spent about half an hour there with the children.
We were there last Saturday. The kids had great fun in the playground and with the animals. Service in the restaurant was top notch, friendly attentive but not intrusive. Food was good, very generous portions and almost a bit like traveling back in time 😉 with the dishes and granite. Price performance ok. An "excursion restaurant" and we'll be back when we get the chance.

An exceptional destination for an excursion. Wonderfully located in nature at the Dittligsee. Not commercial at all! Parking free of charge. The small zoo has only one donation box, which hopefully will be fed a bit. Nice playground. Miniature golf inexpensive. Culinary geared to families.There is a large hall for events and a huge terrace facing the lake. Plus some hotel rooms.

Nice service. Nice vegetable plate. The tour of the zoo is an entertaining way to take a walk nearby.
The food was top notch, it tasted very good and was beautifully prepared. The meat was tender and very lean. The fries nice and crispy and perfectly salted. The service was friendly and the restaurant has been somewhat renovated and leaves a good and neat impression.

My wife and I are passionate "brunchers" and we test out many restaurants, hotels, etc. to experience new experiences.
We liked the Grizzly Bear very much, the rural style, you can also find in the kitchen. Hearty buffet with a very large selection. But what impressed us most was the friendly, courteous and very attentive staff, here we give you the best compliment!
Our two small dogs were also welcome. It is also a paradise for children in the restaurant, as they have their own play corner.
We can highly recommend the Grizzly Bear, many thanks to the team and the Cheff.
Beautiful restaurant in picturesque surroundings. As a family absolutely recommended, for children an experience. Unfortunately, the gastronomy does not quite work with large crowds. This is despite the fact that the Sunday menu is greatly minimized. Neither service, nor the kitchen can handle a crowd or are up to the restaurant (based on number of seats). Too bad.
Food impeccable. Service despite huge load on the staff by the high number of guests very nice and always had everything under control. Top.

We went to brunch on Sunday with our large family. The food was very fine with lots of choice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The kids were able to keep themselves very busy. Merci viu mau.

Uncomplicated check-in despite the rush on the day of arrival in the restaurant belonging to the house. The rooms are very well equipped, so that nothing is missed. We had 2 rooms (1x single / 1x double).The single room of our daughter had a terrace with a wonderful view over the small lake, which is located directly behind the hotel. Our room offered a magnificent view of the Alps massif. The rich breakfast was served at the table. All wishes were fulfilled here to our satisfaction. We did not miss anything. The reservation for the restaurant on the day of arrival also worked. We had a very good meal. The staff was friendly and courteous at all times. From the hotel we have made several trips to Thun and the surrounding area.

Great facility on a small lake with many offers & possibilities. Lovely animal park and great children's playground. Mini-golf course is nice, but a bit outdated and not always flat and predictable ;)
We really enjoyed the dessert in the restaurant, with attentive service.
Tonight we were allowed to spend the evening with you and enjoy the food. The vegetables are super freshly prepared, which you can see and taste. The bread is delicious, fresh and crispy. The portion size is ideal to satisfy the small dessert craving afterwards. The ice creams are heavenly (brownie, coffee brittle, nut caramel). Even our little daughter ate everything from the table and asked for more. The play area for the kids is brilliant as a balance between courses.
Our daughter was still raving about the young woolly pigs when she went to bed.
An oasis with a dreamlike lake. If you want to switch off a bit, this is the place for you.
